CAMPS

TFC Camp Program Curriculums are developed based on age-appropriate guidelines and utilize creative, dynamic activities and small sided games to teach.

Camp staff will consist of TFC Directors and Full-Time Saff.  In addition, college and club players and coaches will be on site.  Each staff member has a gift and passion to work with the youth player.

Camps are offered throughout the Triangle Area and are in the morning (9:00am-12:00pm). All camps run Monday through Thursday (Fridays for Rain-Dates).

Camp Programs

Little Kickers (ages 4-6) - An excellent way for your child to learn soccer through games and activities designed to ensure fun and learning.  The curriculum is age appropriate with an emphasis on fun.  The session runs from 9:00am-10:00am.

Day Camp (ages 7-12 - This traditional program allows each player to experience a range of techniques, which lead to a diverse soccer experience.  The focus of this program is for each player to build upon the fundamentals of the game in a relaxed, free flowing environment.  The session runs from 9:00am-12:00pm.

1 v 1 Camp (ages 7-12) - This camp is designed to improve each player’s individual skills while focusing on 1v1 situations.  Rich Flaim, TFC Director of Youth Development, has designed the 1v1 camp curriculum to ensure players will learn up to twenty moves and fakes during the camp.  The 1v1 camp will conclude on the final day with a mini-World Cup so the players can show off the skills they learned during the week.  If your son or daughter is interested in improving their 1v1 skills while having a lot of fun, this is the camp for them. The session runs from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Shoot and Save Camp (ages 7-12) - This camp is designed for both field players and goalkeepers.  Boys and girls that are either looking to improve their shooting and goal scoring or trying to become a better goalkeeper should register for this program.

For the first part of each camp day players will go with their respective groups “Shooters” or “Savers". During that time the players will be trained in the fundamental skills of the position.

“Shooters” will be working on are finishing with the different parts of the foot (inside, outside, in-step), volleys, heading, and bicycle kicks.  “Savers” will work on stopping low and high shots, how to use angles, and diving.

The second part of each camp day the groups will combine so that the players will get to use the skills they have practiced against live competition.

Players who would like to be involved in both the “shooting” and the “saving” during the camp will be allowed to do both. The program is offered 9:00am - 12:00pm.
